Trump’s tweet about “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin’s Death

Today, August 16th, the world mourns the death of the ‘Queen of Soul’ Ms. Aretha Franklin. Franklin died at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit, MI, surrounded by family and friends, according to a statement release earlier this morning from her longtime publicist Gwendolyn Quinn, on the behalf of Franklin’s family. Earlier this week, a source close to Franklin’s family asked for the world to pray for her because she was “gravely ill” with an unconfirmed illness with many speculating it to be cancer. But now, it is reportedly confirmed that her cause of death was due to advanced pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type, which was confirmed by Franklin’s oncologist, Dr. Phillip Phillips of Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. Millions of fans took to Twitter to express their gratitude, love, and condolences to the late great singer, notably Donald Trump and former POTUS, Barack Obama releasing statements.
